Evolutionary Entanglement

Millions of years of co-evolution have led to a delicate balance between the immune system and our microbial residents. A calibrated system of checks and balances has developed that keeps immune cells from being overzealous, overly aggressive, causing inflammation or attacking cells of our body. At the same time this fine balance ensures that the immune cells are not too lazy and effectively recognize and deal with the invaders. An interesting question now emerges about the role of the immune system ...did it evolve to fight off invaders (as we have always considered) OR to help us live harmoniously alongside beneficial microbes?

How does the immune system distinguish the good from role as distinguishing ‘self’ versus ‘not self’ must now be updated to the expanded view of distinction between the community of the human superorganism: human cells and our mutualist friends versus foes (pathogens). Microbes are no longer simply invaders to be annihilated by our immune system but residents in a symbiotic community. This discernment is the current great mystery and challenge of immunology.

Given the new view of the 100 trillion microbes that are tolerated by the immune system a new paradigm of immune system function is needed. The basic tenets of this new view have been updated:
  1. Immune system development and healthy function requires continual interaction with the mutualist microbes, the beneficial bacteria and parasites.
  2. A central component of balance in the immune system is achieved by the function of a recently discovered peacekeeper faction of the immune system: Regulatory T cells and Regulatory B cells that rein in the immune response.
    • These regulatory peacekeepers are produced primarily when our immune systems regularly engage with our microbiome: bacteria and parasites
    • If the microbiome biodiversity declines, then immune system education is compromised, microbe encounters decline and the peacekeeper levels fall. This situation is responsible for precipitating inflammation, allergies, asthma, and autoimmune imbalances.
  3. Therefore allergies are NOT so much due to the presence of an allergen that triggers a response in the immune system but the absence of microbes that precipitates a global imbalance in our immune responses.

PaRama Study Group Intensive Retreat

Today’s blog is about one my favorite topics: the healing nature of conflict.  You are probably familiar with Tim Hall who has written another article for us today. As you know, The BodyTalk System is about WholeHealthcare more than it is a system that cares only about health.  Health without wisdom is baseless and empty. Through conflict comes wisdom.

I am very excited for the upcoming BodyEcology course.  Scientific discoveries such as the Microbiome reveal aspects of physiology that has always been at work, but until now it has been without our understanding of how to take advantage of this information. In a similar way, conflict has always been part of human life, but without having the understanding of its healing nature.

PaRama BodyTalk in particular is designed to provide a systematic method for establishing wisdom thru the healing nature of conflict.  To this end, Tim will be hosting the 4th PaRama Study Group Intensive Retreat in Scottsdale AZ this coming Memorial Day weekend. Tim was one of the 1st ten PaRama designated CBPs and has dedicated himself to this study. I encourage any PaRama member to attend his weekend group and will try to attend it myself next year.

For details, contact Tim Hall

Thanks,
John

Punk Science - The Movie

As you are aware, our keynote speaker for the October IBA conference is Dr. Manjir Samanta-Laughton who is the author of the book "Punk Science" and an internationally acclaimed speaker on what we call the new physics. I met with her in the UK last year and found her to be exceptionally well informed and very in-tune with the concepts of BodyTalk.
At the moment Manjir is in the final stages of producing a movie about her book. We are hoping it will be released worldwide before the conference. The people interviewed in the movie are all on the cutting edge of the new physics and its application in practical living within healthcare.
A movie trailer is available to watch right now and I urge you all to watch it so you can see the excitement that will be generating. I am also one of the people interviewed so BodyTalk will be represented in the movie.

How to Help your Child with Special Needs - Parent Training

Matthew is certainly one of the more exciting people I've met in my travels because he is on the very cutting edge of addressing the problem of brain damage. The Family Hope Center in Pennsylvania is probably the foremost center in the world for understanding, diagnosing, and treating special needs children.

The work they do also has powerful insights into addressing problems in people of all ages and with less severe brain damage. I'm also excited by the fact that the BodyTalk System is part of the protocol and has contributed to improving their results.

Matthew is giving two lectures in Europe towards the end of the year. One will be as a guest speaker at the IBA conference in Malta, and the other will be in Dublin Ireland.

The 'How to Help your Child with Special Needs - Parent Training' conference in Dublin with Matthew Newell and the Family Hope Center team is for parents of children with special needs and also therapists who may work with these children. The conference is due to run from Friday, Sept 6th to Sunday, Sept 8th in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, Dublin. There will also be half-day workshops on the Monday, specifically for the kids themselves.

Sneak Peak: The Science and Philosophy of BodyTalk Book

My journey in personal growth and what I would call personal awareness started at quite a young age when my father graciously spent several nights a week taking me to martial arts classes. I was lucky to have drawn a teacher who extended my vision beyond martial arts to the power of personal development by teaching me many disciplines such as Zen meditation and the power of the mind.

I was eight years old when that journey began. I soon learned that skills did not come from simply doing a lot of exercises and building big muscles. I was fortunate to have an instructor who realized that the true strengths found in martial arts come from the Energy (Qi) within and the training of the mind in focus and intent. Unusually, I had good discipline at that age to train hard and, in particular, to do extensive Zen meditation practices to discipline my mind.

During those early years, I learned that I could put my hand through a stack of clay tiles without the need of big muscles and hard calluses on my hands. My hands remained soft throughout my decade of martial arts training because I always knew I wanted them in good order for when I later practised healthcare. By the age of 15, using focus and intent and harnessing my Qi, I was able to drive my hand without incurring injury through stacks of up to 30 tiles at a time.

However, brute strength can only do so much. I saw large muscular men with hard, callused hands attempt to break similar stacks of tiles, and only make it through the first 20 because the sheer brute power could only keep the momentum going through those first 20 tiles. By going through the mental process of directing Qi right through to the bottom of the stack of tiles, I not only reached the bottom of the tiles but would shatter them into hundreds of small pieces from the sheer explosive impact of the Qi.

When I was about 11, I taught myself how to hypnotize. It seemed to be just an extension of my meditation practices that enabled me to affect other people. To me, it was a way of exploring the nature of the mind and just how powerfully it influences the body.

In my later teens, I did several experiments to demonstrate how much the mind could affect the physiology of the body, its health, and its strengths by simply getting the false ego out of the way through the means of hypnotism. However, my goal was to utilize this knowledge and gain a better understanding of how to help the mind and the energy system of the average person, and maintain healthcare and quality of life, in a natural way.

In my early years as a chiropractor I worked at two different levels of chiropractic:
Symptomatic – based on physical manipulation to mobilize the body and relieve pain.
Traditional – based on the principle of balancing the nervous system through specific spinal adjustments to improve general health. This also involved the concept of allowing the Innate energy of the body to flow freely through the spine to all the body parts.

With the first level, I was basically acting in my capacity to address back problems and relieve back pain. This tended to utilize my osteopathic background to do osteopathic manipulation of the spine designed to mobilize the spinal segments and restore movement where they were previously restricted.

With the second level, however, in my public lectures and in my literature, I talked a great deal about the philosophy of what I would call “traditional” chiropractic. At this stage, in Australia, the public generally saw chiropractors as “bone crunchers” who “fixed” backs. Eventually, over a period of two years of patient education, I developed a practice where less than 20 percent of my patients came to me with back problems. The other 80 percent came for general health concerns and received good results in a specific range of health challenges.

A typical example: One of my patients had been coming to me for about five treatments for general back pain and was responding very well. In fact, I was at the stage of giving him his final treatment when he mentioned that he had been reading my literature. He had read that chiropractic could help stomach ulcers and explained that he had been suffering from severe stomach pain, especially at night, for several years. As the medication he was taking from the doctor was not helping much, he asked if I could try using my system.

I had actually finished the specific treatment for his back pain but asked him to lie back on the treatment table. I proceeded to adjust him using the traditional chiropractic technique, with the very specific intent and focus of balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve supply to the stomach region and restoring Innate flow to the body. Remember that my previous osteopathic adjustments had an intent and focus of simply mobilizing the spine and relieving back pain.

Two days later, the patient rang me to say he just had the best two nights’ sleep of his life. I treated him four more times along the same lines and when I saw him six months later for another problem, he mentioned that his stomach had been normal throughout those previous six months.

Once again this highlighted, to me, the absolute importance of intent and focus in any technique performed on living things. Later, as an acupuncturist, I encountered similar situations all the time. For simple conditions, I often used a symptomatic approach in my acupuncture formulas that afforded me good results in the average case. I had a very busy practice and they were quick and simple to do. However, whenever I encountered a particularly tough case that was not responding after three treatments, I found myself having to shift mode into my traditional acupuncture training. This involved a full diagnostic profile of reading pulses, tongue, etc.

I found that on most occasions, once I shifted my mode of thinking into a fully traditional way and worked out a specific tailor-made formula for that particular patient’s condition, I often ended up with a combination of acupuncture points very similar to what I was already using. Again, the big difference was my intent and focus as I inserted the needles. In my years as a senior lecturer in an acupuncture college, I often demonstrated to the students just how much intent and focus determined the outcome of a needle insertion. Simply inserting a needle into an acupuncture point can have a certain predictable effect. However, when the practitioner has a detailed understanding of the whole meridian system and the ebbs and flows of the energy according to the time of day, lunar phases, and gender of the patient, then a skilled traditional acupuncturist can effectively cause many different changes in the energy systems of the body by the use of the same acupuncture point simply by changing the intent and focus while inserting the needle.

Over my many years in practice, I saw this concept to be relevant in almost all forms of healthcare that involve energy at different levels. Another example would be homeopathy, which is, in fact, energy medicine. A traditional homeopath can prescribe a single ingredient that, with his intent and focus as he gives the remedy to the patient, has a far better result than the symptomatic homeopaths using standard formulas designed for specific outcomes. I also saw this effect in applied kinesiology, craniosacral therapy, and the use of machines to generate frequencies for specific outcomes.

My early life experiences clearly demonstrated to me that the state and quality of training of a practitioner, his focus and intent, his clarity of thought, and the rapport that he has with his patients are seriously important factors determining the outcome of any therapeutic situation.

During the early years as I was developing The BodyTalk System, one other factor, in addition to the above, became apparent to me. That factor is the importance of the attention of the practitioner in any therapeutic situation. In BodyTalk, a differentiation is emphasized between the terms “attention” and “intention”.

In many energy-based modalities, one often hears the phrase “it is the intention that matters.” From this perspective, intention carries the connotation of agenda. When practitioners proceed with intent, they are proceeding toward a goal with bias and expectations derived from past training and experiences hoping for a specific outcome to the session or treatment.

In BodyTalk, sessions are conducted by the practitioner paying full attention to what is happening in the present moment. The practitioner is there with the client – fully. In this way, attention and awareness take advantage of the interfacing of the left and right brain hemispheres which encourage Innate mental clarity. However, when treatments are given with intent, as is the norm and what I believed in for many years, the practitioner’s own agenda, beliefs and expectations inhibit the healthy interfacing of the left and right brain hemispheres.

Access and Africa

Some news from South Africa from Morag Bromfield!

The two projects which we have running at the moment involve a remedial school in Durban where a group of three CBPs, Sue Parnell (who has a son at the school) Jenny Davies and Zelda Bronzin are going into the school daily at the beginning of class, and are teaching the students how to tap out cortices. Once they are happy with how the children are doing the technique, the teachers will encourage them to do this a few times a day and will give us their feedback.

The second project involves the University where the students involved in Nutritional studies and Homeopathy have asked to be taught Access to enable them to support their clients who have a headache or joint pains, etc and are unable to do this with nutrition and homeopathy alone. There are also a small group of nurses who have been encouraged to attend as well. The University would collect the data and track changes from the clients and give feedback to us. The clients are from a low-cost housing estate and have agreed to have BT daily. I will have more to report once this gets off the ground!

Eastern Medicine

Just finished teaching the first Eastern Medicine Course in Singapore.
I had such a great time. The class loved the material and are very excited about how it will change their lives and their practices.
I am certain it will be by far my most popular course ever.

Government Recognition for BodyTalk….More Details!

Since 1995, The BodyTalk System consisted of two workshops both teaching new approaches in techniques as another modality. Since then it has continued to grow into a full profession within the scope of complementary medicine. There is enough information and materials to fill a complete degree course in Complementary Energy Medicine.

Consistent with this progress has been a push for official recognition with governments, colleges, and healthcare insurance companies. This has been happening over the past five years, as it is a long arduous pathway to weave your way through governmental and educational inertia, skeptics, and the health providers who feel threatened by a very modern and scientific approach to complementary healthcare.

This challenge has been going on in three main fronts:
Europe - particularly Germany – Led by Claudia Schembri-Heitmann
Canada – Led by Andrea Carter and Amanda Rollefstad
Australia – Led by Melissa Smith and Sue Broughton

Europe is still going strong and heading in the right direction. The discussions with the representatives are underway and we are working on the structure and details of the course content.

Canada has been going well and we plan to release some more information on this shortly.

Australia has been pretty slack as far as student numbers and membership. This is mainly due to a shortage of instructors and it is very expensive for instructors from other countries to teach there profitably. This is about to change – big time!

Our Australian branch keeps working diligently towards government recognition of BodyTalk as a professional career. Recently some of you saw an announcement in the newsletter and on my blog:

The BodyTalk System has now gained official accreditation with the Australian government for a Certificate IV training qualification. This means that potential students may qualify for government assistance to study. It will also provide the opportunity to lobby Health Funds to provide reimbursement for BodyTalk sessions.

Thanks to Melissa Smith and Sue Broughton for all their hard work on this project. This was extra special for me – being Australian. And – they received the news of final acceptance while I was here in Australia.

The project is starting out as a certificate IV course and includes all the basic sciences and practice administration skills the government requires to be recognized as a Health care professional. It is also a Federal recognition and covers all states in Australia.

Originally, the course will be focusing on weekend training to suit existing health care professionals. Later it will be done as a fulltime course. The first course starts in February 2013!
Once the Certificate IV course is well under way, the next step will be to teach the rest of the BodyTalk System in a degree format.

There will be a lot more details appearing on our web site and newsletter in the near future.

This progression is very beneficial for all BodyTalk practitioners because it sets a precedent from a country that is internationally recognized as having one of the best health care systems in the world with very high standards.

A BreakThrough Treat

I have just heard that Esther has decided to initiate the new IBA training center in Sarasota, Florida by teaching a class there for IBA staff and friends. Better still – she is teaching BreakThrough 1 – a course she wrote, but hasn’t taught for many years. Even better – she is opening it up to the public as well, until spaces are filled. I can tell you it is well worth a trip to do this course in the way that only Esther can teach it.
Below, I have added a description of the course that Esther has just written:
BreakThough is an exploration of the most common, most painful and most misunderstood human experience - conflict. As challenging as this obviously sounds, what a BreakThrough 1 class involves is really an adventure in questioning in ways we have probably not done since childhood.
Although conflict resolution certainly comes about when one works with BreakThrough, it is not our primary focus. Our focus is more far reaching. Our focus is to unlearn the habits that prevent us from seeing and feeling beyond blame. In other words, BreakThrough is all about shifts in perspective.
When we see and feel beyond blame our experience of life’s challenges transforms, as does the way we deal with them.
One technique of BreakThrough 1 is its Seven Steps process. A single story of conflict is isolated and worked with, using a specific protocol of questioning. Step-by-step, we discover that, however recent the story is; all over-reactions have their roots in assumptions adopted in childhood.
What is more, we discover that no matter where a person is from, or what their background is, we all bear a primal wounding that is universal. With this realization alone there bubbles up such compassion for our fellow man that conflict takes on a whole new meaning.
Suddenly we start to understand our own behavior and our experience of others in a totally different way. Once we begin living life from this very different perspective it changes the way we deal with conflict, from the ground up. We start to be far more conscious of what we are doing and why we are doing it, and, increasingly, the concepts of blame and victim consciousness show themselves to be totally unjustified - no matter what the situation is.

Rather than urging ourselves constantly to aim for a "new and improved" self, BreakThrough gives us a tool that allows us to come home to the human being we are, and to make peace with our humanness and life in general.
Working with BreakThrough, we have the possibility of leaving childish, needy behaviors behind and, as adults, to rediscover the ability to experience life in a truly childlike, honest and open way that is truly natural to us.
This is what BreakThrough is all about…..the healing nature of conflict.

Scientific Acceptance of Complementary Healthcare

As you are probably aware I was published in JAMR, the Journal of Alternative Medical Research earlier this year, which is a peer-reviewed journal circulated primarily in Europe. The editors and review committee I dealt with at the journal proved to be very cooperative in helping me promote the concepts of BodyTalk.
Their enthusiasm to look at alternative and complementary healthcare systems to enhance the medical model impressed me. There is now a scientific committee that has been set up with the purpose to promote awareness of complementary and integrative medicine throughout the whole healthcare system in Europe.
This committee also organizes regular conferences on a very large-scale to further this promotion. The most recent conference was the Jerusalem International Conference on integrative medicine held in Jerusalem From May 13th to 15th, 2012. It was very well attended and had dozens of presentations on all aspects of integrated medicine. I will try to keep you posted on the future conferences because we really should be trying to attend them whenever possible.
I was honored to be invited too join the scientific committee. I have listed the committee members below so that you can see the caliber of people who are involved with this project. There is exceptional diversity and wisdom among the many members of the committee. It is great that they saw fit to invite me on the committee because I was the founder of the BodyTalk System, which they are endorsing.

Brazilian Congress

Less then one year ago, Juliana Lara Resende, who is a BodyTalk Access Trainer in Brazil’s capital, Brasilia, accepted a job as a psychologist working in the Legislator’s House health care program. It appears that the Brazilian government has its own healthcare set up for members of Congress and their families, as well as all the support staff and their families. This health care program, as part of the National Congress policies and practices, participates in setting the standards in healthcare in Brazil. Once new ideas have been accepted, and proven to be effective in the parliament’s healthcare scheme, it is then likely to be considered for implementation in any other government and hospital institution nationwide.

Juliana seized the opportunity to educate the congressmen and their advisors and support staff about BodyTalk. At this stage there are several of her colleagues who have trained in BodyTalk Access, or received treatment from her. The government decided they needed to look at integrative medicine as part of their future plans in healthcare. They decided to invite a series of international experts in integrative medicine to present to congressional members, support staff, and the administration of the healthcare program.

Juliana made sure that BodyTalk was on the agenda, and convinced the medical department and all the other areas involved in health care and quality of life that I should be the first person to give a presentation. A great deal of work went into the promotion of this, which included convincing members of the Brazilian government to attend. It could not have worked out better. The lecture theater they used, one of the largest in the Brazilian National Congress building, was completely filled, with standing room only at the back. For those who could not get into the lecture, and those who were unable to attend, the lecture will be broadcast on the legislator’s house television channel so that people can watch it. When all the other lectures are presented over the next few months, the health care program – Pró-Saúde – will be making a video combining all the different ideas presented, and distribute it to all their beneficiaries – which includes most of the congressmen in Brazil.

The lecture was very well received, and Juliana has reported great enthusiasm from the people she works with. A current designated committee for writing the policy on health and quality of life at work (of which Juliana is part of) has already included complimentary medicine in the form of alternative health care.  After my talk I met with the head of the health care program Pró-Saúde, Mr. Ricardo Kowalski, who expressed similar enthusiasm and assured me that he will be actively investigating the utilization of BodyTalk in the their healthcare’s system. The next step is making sure BodyTalk has legal validation to be practiced in hospitals in general, and ensure only qualified people can practice BodyTalk.

The whole evening was such fun - they even enjoyed my jokes -  or at least the ones that Juliana decided to translate! I managed to teach them all to tap out their cortices. Learn to tap out your cortices by clicking here.

Children's Hospital in Brasilia

On 10 August I had great pleasure in making a three-hour presentation at the hospital for children. Before the talk I was given a tour of the hospital and I was just so impressed by how modern and beautifully it was planned. In particular, how well it had been designed for children. It was sad seeing the children because this hospital only accepts patients by referral, and they are only referred for serious cancer cases, and serious blood diseases.

The hospital board and administration have been very progressive in looking at different ways to help the children and their families through such a heart-wrenching time. They have already allowed Reiki practitioners to volunteer their services in using Reiki to help ease the pain and suffering. They’ve also demonstrated openness to new ideas. Fortunately, we were lucky to have a medical doctor working at the hospital who is also a BodyTalk student. This is actually the second hospital in Brasília where Dr. Eliane Bittar has brought BodyTalk.

Getting into the hospital for this talk was a joint effort of several people primarily organized by Juliana Lara Resende, a BodyTalk Access Trainer and PaRama BodyTalk practitioner in Brasília. I was asked to give a three-hour presentation in the afternoon and arrangements were made so that staff could attend as well as members of the hospital board of directors.

The talk and demonstration went very well and my discussions with the key people involved after the talk were very positive. I finally talked to Dr. José Carlos, who is the oncological pediatrician in charge of research projects.

In my conversations with him he assured me full hospital cooperation in allowing BodyTalk practitioners to come into the hospital and treat children. He also said that he would support an application to host a full BodyTalk research program at the hospital. This means that the research would be set up and controlled by the hospital, and it would be the hospital that presented it for peer review and publication.

During my visit I also met Mariângela de Paiva who is in charge of our BodyTalk program in the local Brasilia military hospital where she practices BodyTalk and is arranging for training of more BodyTalkers to help her out at the hospital.

It was so rewarding to see so much support from the local BodyTalk matrix in Brasilia and just how much progress they’ve made in such a short time.

Catalyst for Change

We've all been hearing and reading for several years about the possibility of 2012 being a very significant year. Multiple factors would indicate that there will be many changes occurring during this year. This reminds me of a common analogy used in many personal growth workshops.

The boss walks into the office and announces to the staff that there are going to be major changes made in the company. As a result of the statement, half the office workers go into a state of fear and panic because, to them, change is something that threatens them and takes them out of the secure concepts of control.

On the other hand, the other half of the staff sees change as an opportunity, and relish the concept of change as a powerful catalyst. So far this year I am seeing profound changes in my life personally, and in the BodyTalk system. I really believe that 2012 will be our most important year yet.
Wherever I go, people are seeking me out wanting to talk to me about my vision of BodyTalk and the way it can affect every aspect of life.
I've just been reflecting on the fact that I'm currently in Brazil and tonight my partner, Renata, is hosting a dinner for twelve top scientists in São Paulo, Brazil. This includes professors in medicine from the University of São Paulo along with prominent quantum physicists involved with the new Quantum University that is being established.

This new international University will have primarily an online presence where experts in every field of endeavor would be giving lectures on how to apply the latest knowledge of quantum physics and science to ensure a far better approach to the various professional disciplines of the future.

In the medical field, it appears they are keen to use the BodyTalk philosophy and science as a key part of the foundations taught by the University. Many of you are aware that I have spent the best part of the last three years interpreting the techniques and philosophy of BodyTalk so that it can be understood as a science as well. I strongly believe the science of BodyTalk that I am teaching in my Finding Health classes will become a very important basis in most aspects of healthcare in the near future.

What particularly appeals to me is that the science does not have to be bogged down by complex mathematics and scientific dogma. Although based on the latest research and science, my approach has been more philosophical. I have been able to demonstrate that philosophy is the best system of logic for understanding the nature of the world as we know it.

In June I'll be conducting a private workshop for a team of scientists involved with the Quantum University that will explain the essential principles of Finding Health 2 (FH2), and how they apply to the practical administration of the medical model.

My Treatment Intensive and FH2 courses have become my main focus this year for spreading the understanding of BodyTalk and, more importantly, laying the foundations for BodyTalk and health care in general for the future.
I believe that Finding Health 2 holds the key to all new advances in BodyTalk and related sciences for the future.
This is why it is so important that you embrace this new understanding in your lives and practice. This year I'm traveling to key areas of the world to present these courses, and I strongly urge you to do everything you can to attend when I’m in your area, because there will be limited opportunities to take advantage of this extremely important understanding.  I will be touring far less in the next few years so your opportunity to do the seminar maybe your only one for a couple of years.

Remember, that Fundamentals, and Finding Health 1 are prerequisites. Finding Health 1 is now available on DVD from the IBA store. Please ensure you allow plenty of time to digest the contents of FH1 so that you're ready for FH2 when I come to your area of the world.

I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Thank-you, John. This course was life-changing!

I cannot say enough about the Finding Health 1 DVD course. It was absolutely amazing. I am so excited by the amount of NEW information that it taught. I have no idea why but I was under the impression that it was very similar to BodyTalk Interactive and after having two small children thanks to BodyTalk, I had a hard time taking all the courses I wanted and I always put Finding Health on the back burner for that reason. I couldn't have been more wrong. It was FULL of so much new information – I can't believe I waited this long to take it!!! Thanks to John and the IBA for offering it as a DVD course, I was able to stay home with the kids and take the course while they were sleeping?

I learned so much about what I am actually doing during BodyTalk sessions. I have taken over 20 BodyTalk System courses and feel that I have a lot of the knowledge but this course was wonderful to give me more awareness of what is really happening during a BodyTalk session. This will help enhance my sessions and also will help me explain what I am doing to clients as well as during information sessions to the public.

I feel that the content of this course really filled in the blanks for me. The information about cells, vibration and belief systems gave me extra awareness to what is being done during BodyTalk sessions. I always had a sense of the cell vibration and felt changes when I was doing sessions but I NOW understand what is happening and the changes that are truly being made.

I also learned a lot of new information regarding consciousness, intuition and insight that will not only change the way I do things but will add new awareness behind everything I do. This will certainly change the way I teach MindScape. I felt during my MindScape training that there was information that I needed to be a more effective trainer but just didn't have a full understanding of what it was and I feel now that I have that understanding and will be a much more effective instructor because of that "aha".

The section on Matrixes and how they work makes me look at my life in a new way and how making changes will truly effect every area of my life!!! I see now where I have been making critical errors in the ways I support myself and my clients and also many other areas of my life...

I appreciate what I learned about the beauty of conflict and the role it plays in our lives. It really makes me step back and open my awareness to the conflict in many areas of my life and gives me the realization that it is in fact wonderful to have and although I am sure I will never LOVE being in conflict but I will now have more curiosity and openness to why it is occurring. This information gave me a new insight into BreakThrough that I have recently started being passionate about again – I believe I fell away from using BreakThrough because of my own fear of conflict and I now have an added appreciation and excitement for this work!!!

I feel that since becoming a BodyTalk Practitioner, I always felt very insecure about my health and felt embarrassed when anyone in my family was ill because I should know how to heal them because I am a BodyTalker!!!! John made this so clear to me and now I realize that life is going to continue to send me ways in which to resolve conflict and my health is no different so rather than feeling upset by it now I will allow myself to learn from it!!!

I recently had a client on my table who was a very vocal skeptic. He scoffed and disagreed with everything I said about consciousness and belief systems. Last year, I would have been in tears and would have quickly ended the session and likely wouldn't have charged him. When it happened this time, I literally thought it was so funny and I was really surprised that someone didn't believe what I was saying. Rather than defending and arguing, I just continued with the session and smiled at him and told him that yes, I did believe what I was saying and maybe someday he would be interested to learn it as well in order to get lasting healing results. After taking Finding Health, I got an appreciation for the fact that me not getting upset and flustered means that I am now at the point where I believe in BodyTalk and it feels really good to not get triggered by skeptics anymore.

One thing that I was not expecting to get from John's course is parenting tips? Anyone who knows me knows that I had tried for years to get pregnant before finding BodyTalk. After becoming a BodyTalk Practitioner, I had a session from John during a course in Florida and soon became pregnant and had a wonderful baby boy. Interestingly enough, I took FreeFall 2 with John when my son was 6 months old and got pregnant right away. Of course it was a bit sooner than I expected but my daughter was another blessing in our lives, making our little family complete...Yes, Finding Health made me realize the importance of honesty and trust in relationships with yourself, others and your children, even with money. I have known parents who say their kids are "out of control" and "never listen" and I have always thought that following through with discipline is very important and after John's course I understand how and why honesty and trust are vital in all relationships. I would have answered John's question that I am an honest person until he broke it down and I now have insights into ways to improve the honesty and trust in ALL areas of my life. I was also so intrigued to understand how this directly affects levels of intuition. During MindScape instructor training, I have always focused on the aspect ofTRUST in your intuition and I was given so many tools to use during Finding Health to truly develop intuition and insight that I will integrate into MindScape courses I teach.

Thank-you, John. This course was life-changing and I believe that every time I take the course, I will learn everything at deeper levels. It was amazing!!! I believe everyone could benefit from this course – it is a MUST for all BodyTalk Practitioners!!!
