Government Recognition for BodyTalk….More Details!

Since 1995, The BodyTalk System consisted of two workshops both teaching new approaches in techniques as another modality. Since then it has continued to grow into a full profession within the scope of complementary medicine. There is enough information and materials to fill a complete degree course in Complementary Energy Medicine.

Consistent with this progress has been a push for official recognition with governments, colleges, and healthcare insurance companies. This has been happening over the past five years, as it is a long arduous pathway to weave your way through governmental and educational inertia, skeptics, and the health providers who feel threatened by a very modern and scientific approach to complementary healthcare.

This challenge has been going on in three main fronts:
Europe - particularly Germany – Led by Claudia Schembri-Heitmann
Canada – Led by Andrea Carter and Amanda Rollefstad
Australia – Led by Melissa Smith and Sue Broughton

Europe is still going strong and heading in the right direction. The discussions with the representatives are underway and we are working on the structure and details of the course content.

Canada has been going well and we plan to release some more information on this shortly.

Australia has been pretty slack as far as student numbers and membership. This is mainly due to a shortage of instructors and it is very expensive for instructors from other countries to teach there profitably. This is about to change – big time!

Our Australian branch keeps working diligently towards government recognition of BodyTalk as a professional career. Recently some of you saw an announcement in the newsletter and on my blog:

The BodyTalk System has now gained official accreditation with the Australian government for a Certificate IV training qualification. This means that potential students may qualify for government assistance to study. It will also provide the opportunity to lobby Health Funds to provide reimbursement for BodyTalk sessions.

Thanks to Melissa Smith and Sue Broughton for all their hard work on this project. This was extra special for me – being Australian. And – they received the news of final acceptance while I was here in Australia.

The project is starting out as a certificate IV course and includes all the basic sciences and practice administration skills the government requires to be recognized as a Health care professional. It is also a Federal recognition and covers all states in Australia.

Originally, the course will be focusing on weekend training to suit existing health care professionals. Later it will be done as a fulltime course. The first course starts in February 2013!
Once the Certificate IV course is well under way, the next step will be to teach the rest of the BodyTalk System in a degree format.

There will be a lot more details appearing on our web site and newsletter in the near future.

This progression is very beneficial for all BodyTalk practitioners because it sets a precedent from a country that is internationally recognized as having one of the best health care systems in the world with very high standards.

Poem by Esther Veltheim

Like a feather, touched
By the whim of Your breath,
I fly, I fall, I hang,
As if suspended
In that space
Between You and me.
The breath, the feather
dancing in unison.
This strange
and constant dance,
Where You dance me
and I perform.
And then, with certainty
I know there is
no You, no me,
I lose myself.
No thought, no word,
No understanding
can come close,
to what is beyond them.

Coordinator of  Teaching Clinic - assistencial  in Advanced Natural Therapies (Capão Bonito - SP).

I first met Alberto last year at the quantum health conference and again at the conference in Granada earlier this year. I remember the first thing that impressed me most about him was how multilingual he was. It seemed he could speak any language fluently. I was then quite surprised when all the conference speakers were having a dinner at a major restaurant with a live band playing. Alberto got up an walked onto the stage and was handed a guitar. The band seemed to know him and was very excited that he intended to play with them. He then proceeded to sing and play guitar to the delight of everyone. It appears he is well-known as an accomplished musician and performer amongst his other many achievements.
Alberto then came to dinner at Renata's place and followed up by attending my three-day intensive explanation of BodyTalk a month later. His questions and input during those three days was so very positive. It showed him to be a deep thinker about what it really means to be a doctor. He is very involved as a medical professor at the University and it was a delight to hear that he insists on training all the medical students extensively in diet and nutrition as well as a deeper understanding of alternative medicine and the energy basis of the human body.
I really look forward to my future associations with Alberto as I believe he has so much to offer the BodyTalk matrix from all the wisdom he has accumulated in his remarkable career.

The Nut That Fell Too Far From The Tree

by Tim Hall

It was storming when this baby acorn fell from its home high upon the tree top. The wind carried it from its cluster of comfort to the cold wet ground far away from the trunk that so recently provided it with nourishment and growth. There were no adjacent nuts nor any wispering direction from the mother oak tree. What is this nut to do?

All that it has known is to grow and add bulk to itself while refining the quality of the inner seed, though it knows not what the inner seed is for necessarily. It only has what little it knows, and it is now in the unknown. As the moisure sets in and the outer shell softens, the acorn learns its no longer growing, but should it just rot away? Isn't this unknown direction the path to certain death?

The mysterious eye of a hurricane is the silent and unknowable inherent power source of the raging storm. The known is the violent storm and the unknown is the peaceful silence. To escape from a storm is one thing. To find the central still point of the storm and rest there in peace amidst the torent winds, is quite another indeed. In this sense, is the acorn giving up on life and yielding to the impending doom? Or is it thriving in the midst of decay?

Even natural and spontaneous action is purposeful, defininte and requires certain circumstances and situations for its fulfillment. Yet, if some action is natural and spontaneous, how can any person aid that unfoldment, anymore than can an acorn help itself into being a tree? When we find ourselves trying to sprout, should we reverse direction and stop doing in the name of not forcing what is natural? Should the acorn stop what is coming natural to it, and is that even possible? How can anyone or anything yield to the activity that Is, while not forcing and also not rejecting? What to do? How does one walk the razor's edge without being sliced in two?

What is to do, is to undo what doesn't need to be done. The inner seed is the heart of the acorn. The outer shell rots away for the sake of the seed. It doesn't look pretty but the shell has to go. It served it purpose and now its purpose is to let go of that purpose.
There is a purpose to life and it is to live from within. Live like the inner seed who is in the process of taking root while the hard outer shell softens and becomes vulnerable to the nutrients of its new home, the rich soil. During a BodyTalk session, we go according to our nutrient rich soil called 'priority'. The inner dictates from the unknown, takes the reigns and we bounce to the beat of a different drummer. This does not have to be limited to a few minutes of practice every day. Be the seed. The outer storm is an expression of the inner eye of silence, and the mighty Oak is an expression of the seed.

A consciousness-based session is based in one's own consciousness. It is from whereever we are right now that priority can take root and all we have to do is acknowledge that we are rotten on the outside and that is part of the ultimate goal. Let yourself go and be what you already are. If you are living like who you are not, it is like doing sessions according to your own agenda forgoing priority. Does that make any sense? Wouldn't it sting a little to do a session according only to what you already know? Then why live that way? Step into the unknown. Its the only thing that you've always truly known and could never not know, but its only known as the unknown when you knowingly step into it by unknowing what you think you know. This is the knowing that needs to be known - to unknow that you know.

This is not to forget, dismiss, repress or be dull. It is not an excape from the storm, it is to unknown in the midst of the present knowledge. Everything has its place.

The applied consciousness of finding health via BodyTalk and the Life Sciences is more than a practice. It is a lifestyle. Live the unknowable.

Open Heart

Hello John

It's me, Kelley Burry, from Namaste Nova, NS Canada. You did a session for my heart in the last moments of Finding Health 2 in Florida.

The aftermath has been interesting........
For about 48 hours after, I experienced extreme pain in my chest and it felt like I had literally had open-heart surgery! I was even bruised! After this subsided I quickly began to feel wonderful in my physical and emotional body.  I am not swollen anymore nor do I feel heavy or congested or lethargic.  It seems incredible!  I have been experiencing a big change in my practice and what my sessions look like these days.  My focus is stronger, my MindScape is clearer, my intuition is quicker and I am more confident.  My daughter immediately noticed a huge energic shift on our farm retreat - she said it feels lighter and hopeful.

Leo (one of my horses in the herd, you noticed that he was trying to help me with this issue in particular) is also changing daily!  At first I didn't think he was going to make it but I did exactly what you told me to do - tap his cortices a lot and tell him he does not have to carry this any more - it is done! He has waffled from severe colic in one moment to extreme joy and energy in the next, for weeks now! Leo is not out of the woods yet but we are paying close attention to him and allowing him to lead us through the process of whatever this is!

It seems that my connection to the herd and to our land and all that is here is VERY heightened!!!! WHOA!! I feel like we are being supported on levels I can't even describe!
There is more I seem to feel but do not have words to describe.

Thank-you for this new lease on life and this new experience! What a ride!
Namaste
